Stunning Japandi Style Bathroom Inspiration

When we bought our home nearly two years ago, we immediately jumped into a massive renovation which included completely re-designing the back half of the home. A huge part of the reno was converting two of the original bedrooms into a master retreat which I’d envisioned including a show stopping ensuite, but as the weeks rolled on and Matt and I burned out, finishing that ensuite fell to the bottom of the priority list.

Fast forward to now and we’re finally ready to pick up where we left off. The thing is, after two years of knowing this is coming, I still felt a bit stuck as to what to do. I love how our main living area has come together and I want to carry that laid-back vibe into the ensuite, but how do you do that on a much smaller scale in a room containing completely different materials?

So last weekend I finally decided to sit down and comb through all the inspirational images I’ve been saving since starting this project and while doing so, really consider whether or not the ideas I’ve saved will tie into the rest of the home. To be honest, I felt like putting this post together was just another form of procrastination, but now that I’ve finished, I’m happy to say I feel a bit more sure about the direction I want to go.
