Happy Saturday!

Thanks to our two energetic golden retrievers I’ve been up since 6am this morning. I know, that sounds like the worst thing to do on a weekend. But a few months ago I decided to stop fighting the puppy energy and embrace the opportunity that comes with waking up early on a Saturday morning. And I have to say, these early mornings have become something I really look forward to, especially when I’m spending the time working on these posts. Maybe it’s the architecture geek in me, but I really enjoy sipping my coffee while browsing the internet for the best homes to share with you guys.

If you are new around here, the intent behind the Exterior Inspiration Series is to pull together some of my favorite examples of a particular residential architectural style and share them with you. Today I’m featuring Scandinavian style architecture, which is actually one of my personal favorites. I just love how these homes are incredibly simple in shape and detailing yet still manage to look absolutely stunning in any setting.
